Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his distinct mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and at festivals in Europe, as well as the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine Her real name is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is in Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in the church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B culture. The band was hired as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls the stage show in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
